OK, first of all, I have not yet seen "The Last Jedi", but I keep seeing more and more posts complaining about Kelly Marie Tran in it.
I have seen a still frame from her in the movie and think it looks interesting. Her facial expression in this still frame seems to show an attitude that I cannot remember ever having seen in a Star Wars movie before.
Now, the complains I see do not give much detail about the reason for complaint, apparently her charakter has done something in the movie that does not meet with much approval.
On the other hand I do now see posts claiming, that Kelly's sister was much better looking and should be in the movies and that it is regrettable that Kelly's charakter was not killed off in TLJ.
Also I see complains about "fat asian" and "Asian plot armor" that was needed for a "racial token".
Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these people? Are we still into fat shaming? Do we still pick on actors, because we are unhappy with their charakter's actions? Do we pick on a single person because we are unhappy with the way a franchise is going?
In short: are Star Wars fans really such assholes?
I do hope not! And I will use this platform, small as it may be, to shout out: STOP THIS SHITTY BEHAVIOUR, RIGHT NOW!
